Welcome Minutes
Every user gets a free call to try Rebtel. Once the trial minutes are up, you must add credit to your account to keep calling.
Direct Call
For Direct Calls we charge you a small per minute fee (which varies depending on your calling destination.) You'll also pay your mobile operator's usual rate for a local call. If you have inclusive minutes with your contract, this part of the call will be free.
Smart Call
Smart Calls are only available between Rebtel Countries, and are free. There's no limit to the number of Smart Call minutes, and you can make as many calls as you like. All you will pay is your mobile operator's usual per-minute rate for a local call. If you and your friend both have inclusive minutes with your mobile contract, this international call can be completely free. Smart, huh?
Collect call If you and your friend both live in Rebtel countries, but your friend is not a Rebtel user, you can use Rebtel to make collect calls. Your friend can call you collect by using the local number that is sent to your friend by mail when you add your friend as a contact. (In our settings you can also choose to send your local number by SMS.) Your friend will only pay for the local call (depending on their phone company). You will pay Rebtel for the international part.
Double dial
If you don’t want to create a Rebtel number for someone (perhaps an international number you’ll only use once, such as a hotel) you can Double Dial. Just call the Rebtel Operator and follow the instructions. There is a small per-minute fee to Rebtel for this plus your mobile operator’s usual rate for a local call.
“... there are a handful of services available that allow you to make cheap and sometimes even free international mobile-to-mobile phone calls. Rebtel is one of those services, and trust me, you'll be glad you found it.”
